My Journal Entry from Day Thirteen:

From One Simple Thing:

  • The loving kindness meditation is smart to me from a pedagogy perspective. When teaching, people learn better if you first activate what they know (remind them of what they already know about the subject) and then you extend to the unknown. This practice, which first energizes an easy source of loving kindness before extending to a more difficult source, resonants with well-researched educational practices.

From today's yoga class:

  • Key Words: Mindful

  • I took a restorative yoga class with Chelsea Jackson Roberts on the Peloton platform tonight. I had been feeling under the weather so I wanted something low key. The class was especially complementary to the practices from One Simple Thing because there was a body scan meditation as part of the class.
