Welcome to Day Twelve! Our first twisting pose!
Read Practice A & B in One Simple Thing. Give them a try!
Then, color page 80-81 of The Yoga Anatomy Coloring Book Pose by Pose. Practice the pose after coloring.
Finally, read aloud the cueing for this pose from pages 183 & 183 of The Yoga Bible.
Bonus: Try this pose with the leg against the ground both straight and bent underneath. Then, try with a block or blanket under the glut on the the side you are turning away from. Lots of modifications to explore!
Extra credit: Download The Breathing App that was mentioned in Practice A in One Simply Thing. Use it throughout the day a few times to practice resonance breathing.
My Journal Entry from Day Twelve:
From One Simple Thing:
Today I practiced resonance breathing and single-nostril breathing. Resonance breathing relaxes me very predictably and I have tried it many times before now. Single nostril breathing has always been a challenge for me. With only one nostril, I never feel like I can get enough air and both nostril always seem at least partially blocked.

Today I took a yoga class online with Kirra Michel at Peloton Yoga. She has a lovely way about her that encourages you to engage in self-care.
